"Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. "       1 Peter 1:13

What we do:

Answering the question, "What do the Knights of Columbus actually do?" can be summarized in a variety of ways, but one of the simplist and most complete ways to answer that is, "four things:" we are about prayer, service, leadership, learning and protecting.
The Big Picture
As Knights, we support one another to take advantage of the "full arnsenal" of the Church's rich tradition of prayer to conduct the "spiritual warfare" so neccesary in our day and age against the deceptions and pitfalls of the Evil one. The mass, the rosary, and intercessory prayer are held dearly as gifts from God to held us grow as holy men.
If prayer gives us the energy and focus, service to others, especially the most needy, is the place where that energy is focused.  One of the greatest gifts of the Knights is to have a range of activities that allow us to put our faith into action. Banded together, we are able to join forces to accomplish great things.
To lead, even if in small ways, is to give glory to God for having given us the gifts and talents we have.  God calls us as men to help lead our families, our parishes, and our community, to great things, through faith, hope, and charity.  The Knights help us to discover the joys and satisfaction of leading.
It does not take much to see that unexamined faith is going to be a weak faith.  We don't have to be theologians to have questions about our Catholic faith. The Knights give us a vareity of avenues to gain understanding about why Catholics believe what we believe. We discover learning is a joyful, life-long journey.

If there is one thing that comes natural to us as men, it is probably the impulse to protect our family. We want the best for them, and want them to be protected - spiritually, physically, and financially.  The Knights give us access to one of the best insurance and investment opportunity that is out there. We are stronger financially as Knights.
